Jacqueline & Josh couldn't have asked for a better day in Key West to get married! Despite the fact that only a week prior we were watching a tropical storm develop, we all kept our fingers crossed and prayed it wouldn't affect their wedding and in the end, it didn't! Their ceremony took place at the infamous Smathers Beach, but I was lucky and was able to get some beautiful pictures before they were swept off to their ceremony! All of the pictures below were taken at the Parrot Key Hotel.
Congratulations Jacqueline & Josh!
This past weekend I grabbed a friend of mine who happens to be another fellow photographer here in Key West and went around to find some pretty awesome spots to grab some artistic style modeling photos! I can honestly say we had an absolute BLAST! Between the endless laughs, joking around and driving around to find awesome locations, we came up with some pretty incredible photos. She was absolutely stunning in every single thing she did and she was even willing to take a nice dip in the ocean at the end of the day. Thanks for being such a great sport, Keely!
You know how they say a little rain on your wedding day is good luck? Well, if that superstition is true, Brittney & Tony are going to have good luck for life! I'm not going to lie, I was quite nervous for these two! Driving up from Key West to Tavernier, the rain never stopped once. The roads were flooding, thunder was cracking, and the closer I got the more nervous I became! Brittney & Tony were determined to have their wedding day and finally, by sunset, the rain disappeared just long enough for the ceremony at Founders Park to take place. A beautiful pastel sunset blossomed at the end of the day, and everything turned out perfectly. Brittney & Tony were a joy to work with and it was so nice to meet them! I was honored to be part of their day!
Over a month ago I received an email from someone who found me on Google, letting me know they were coming down to Key West and he wanted a photo shoot with his girlfriend. However, when he expressed that this was not just a fun vacation and that it was going to be much more special, I was beside myself. He told me he wanted to propose to his girlfriend! Over the course of a few weeks we collaborated and worked out every last detail. This was my very first proposal shoot, so I was probably just as nervous as he was!
The day of the shoot we discretely texted so we knew when we were both ready. He decided on proposing outside of their favorite restaurant, Blue Heaven. When I arrived they had already been enjoying a nice bloody mary, because it was quite early in the morning. They both came out and I approached them posing as a photographer for Blue Heaven. We walked around the restaurant and got some decoy pictures before the main event: the proposal! The restaurant was hopping that morning - so waiting for the people to disperse and the cars to stop coming felt like a lifetime! Finally, we were clear And then it happened.
A few days later I met up with them again and had a much less stressful photo shoot on the beach!
I had so much fun, I can't wait to shoot my next proposal!
